My work always
begins with a consultation. Understanding what is most important
to you and how you want your jewelry to look and feel is the foundation
for everything that comes after.
Understanding what
you want opens the design process. I use 35 years of experience working
with metal and stone to render what you have told me is most important
to you. The design process often includes discussions and sketches
to completely develop your ideas. Often clients bring stones or metals
from heirloom pieces that they would like to include in a new design.
From this stage, I usually fashion wax carvings that model exactly what
you have in mind and help you see the piece in three dimensions. Once
your design is fixed I begin crafting a unique piece of jewelry just
for you.
In every piece
of jewelry I make, I promise to put my years of experience and a desire
to create a unique and wonderful piece to work just for you. Casting,
shaping, setting stones and polishing are the secrets of my craft. The
craftsmanship emerges from using these skills to fashion metal and stone
into exactly what you imagined: a distinct, unique piece of fine custom
jewelry.
